PAY WHAT YOU CAN

Small, everyday decisions about personal safety and health are urgent priorities in the coronavirus era. Everyone deserves a mask. Because we know from personal experience what it's like to live on a low income (and have been navigating the COVID-19 employment fallout like so many of our community members), we understand that circumstances may be difficult to construct or buy your own cotton mask. That's why we are doing our best to help get you wearing one.

Alternatively, people who are in a position of financial abundance sometimes may find joy in higher price points that support and honor the labor, creativity, and community spirit of local makers.

The bottom line is pretty straightforward. We've been extremely thorough and thoughtful in calculating the time and expenses that go into the construction of our masks. And we want to welcome you to pay what you are able!

To learn more about what goes into pricing, read the guidelines below, then carefully choose the price that you can comfortably pay. (We are going on the honor system here...we trust our community members!) When you've decided what you are able to afford, follow the instructions for placing an order.

NOTE: If you can't afford $12 for a mask, please contact us. We may be able to provide you with a lower-priced or even a free mask depending on the amount available in the Pay What You Can Mask Fund.
